Christmas Time Is Here was written by Vince Guaraldi and Lee Mendelson in 1965, along with the rest of the soundtrack specifically for the new Christmas Cartoon, A Charlie Brown Christmas. That soundtrack is timeless. More than 50 years later I still listen to it every Christmas.

I may have been 9 or 10 when I first watched A Charlie Brown Christmas. It became a holiday favorite of mine.

Well, I decided to see if I could arrange a part of it for the guitar. I wanted to keep it pleasing to the ear and have the listener be able to "feel" the chord changes. I decided to skip the Jazz and Blues elements of the song and based mine on Major 7 chords. I played this years ago but never bothered to put it on a Tab. I recently (12/24) played it for a student, and he suggested that it should be on my website. So here it is. Christmas Time is Here.

I have made changes through the years, and am certain I will continue to do so. Near the end there are two options. One for guitars with access to frets 12 through 15. And one for guitars that don't have access to frets 12 through 15. Choose your version or choose both.
