  • I traded a 59 Les Paul Jr. for a 1981 Les Paul Artist in 1992.  The Artist was priced $1,200.  I found out too late the Junior was worth $3,000 - $4,000.  I had no idea it was worth that much at the time of the trade. -  Music Store Transaction - (FYI - In 2016 it is worth $6,000 - $8,000)
  • I sold a 1954 Les Paul Custom '72 Reissue Limited Edition for $400 in 1984 (before the internet).  At the time it was worth closer to $2,000 but I did not know that. - Private Sale -  (in 2016 it is worth $6,000 - $8,000).
  • A friend sold a late 60's Marshall Super Lead amp head for $800.  It was worth $4,000 to $5,000.  -  Private Sale
Some people sell $5,000 guitars for $500 every day. Don't let that happen to you.
I learned the hard way.  I have done extensive research on guitars, basses, amps, effects, speakers, cabinets, guitar cases, etc. to determine value while helping other instrument owners.. I can help level the playing field by helping you find out what something is worth.  I have price guides, old catalogs, serial number lists, etc. and the internet.

People sell $5,000 guitars for $500 every day.  Don't let that happen to you.

Please contact me prior to deciding on a price or selling your guitar or other musical equipment!  You have nothing to lose, and perhaps thousands of dollars to gain. Island Guitar Studios accepts consignments.  My goal is to get you as much as possible for your instrument, gear, equipment , etc.
