Guitar Teacher And Owner Burt Jamison has been playing the guitar for more than 50 years! Pictured right is Island Guitar Studios Owner Burt Jamison playing for the first time with the Chris Sacks Band in September 2019 at the Kent Island Elks Club. Outside. Under the tarps. In the rain. Burt played through his trusty Roland Cube 30 and used an old Squier Affinity Strat that evening. It is one of his favorite guitars. Most recently (November 2024) Burt played with Chris Sacks at the Island Pub on Kent Island. Inside. On the stage.

Burt has been playing the guitar for more than 50 years. Are you ready to learn how to play the guitar? Give it a try! Burt makes learning to play guitar fun!

Already own a guitar? Great! If not, you may be able to borrow one of Burt's Student Guitars - subject to availability.

Borrowing Guitars - If any are available, there is a one time non refundable fee of $40 to borrow a guitar, and $40 to borrow an amp. Which you will take home with you. You may borrow the guitar/ amp for as long as you take lessons from Burt. At no additional cost. If you stick with your guitar lessons Burt may allow you to keep your borrowed Student Guitar!

We usually teach one on one at our studio. Lesson cost with Burt is $30 per half hour; $50 per hour. NEW - Burt now offers guitar lessons by ZOOM.

Burt offers up to two hour long guitar lessons ($90) for those who prefer longer lessons.
